Cameroon GCE 2020 examination timetable – Updated

New Cameroon GCE 2020 examination timetable for 2020 session of Ordinary Level, Advanced Level, Intermediate Technical Certificate, Advanced Technical Certificate and other examinations in Cameroon has been released on June 9th 2020 which indicates that the practical session of the GCE 2020 O/L, A/L, ITC and ATC begins on Monday 20th July 2020 to Wednesday 5th August 2020 and the new Cameroon GCE 2020 examination timetable indicates written session begins on Thursday 6th August 2020 to Tuesday 25th August 2020. The Cameroon GCE 2020 examination timetable 2020 was initially made public following the announcement for the start of the Cameroon GCE examination registration 2020.

  • The New Cameroon GCE 2020 examination timetable is scheduled as follows;
  • Ordinary Levels and Advanced Levels Practicals – Monday, 20th July to Wednesday, 5th August 2020
  • Ordinary Level and Advanced Level Written – Thursday, 6th August to Tuesday, 25th August 2020
  • ITC and ATC Practicals – Monday, 20th July to Wednesday, 5th August 2020
  • ITC and ATC Written – Thursday, 6th August to Tuesday, 25th August 2020

COMMUNIQUE By Minister of Secondary Education on the New GCE 2020 examination timetable.

By the special instructions of the Head of State that schools should re-open on 1st June 2020 announced by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, the Minister of Secondary Education hereby publishes the under mentioned detailed timetable released by the Cameroon GCE Board, Office du Baccalaurieat and Department of Examination and Certification. Advice to teachers from the minister.

The Minister of Secondary Education advises the teachers of secondary schools not to overwork the students by giving them too many assignments. In accordance with the note of the General Inspector of Education, the areas that need emphasizing are practical, tutorials and integrative work. Therefore, all the students to prepare and await their final exam with cold head. See press release below.

Following the decision, No 782/19 signed by the minister of secondary education on the 28 of October 2019, the GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations were supposed to have begun with practicals from the 5th to the 30th of May 2019 and the written part from June 1st to June 19th. But because of the interruption of the school year as a result of COVID-19 outbreak, several modifications had to be made on the timetable.

Timetables are always released from the start of the registration process to enable candidates to master the days and subjects to be written.

Individual timetables are always issued to students with as soon as he/she finishes with the registration process. The individual timetable carries only the candidate’s registered subjects showing clearly the dates and subjects to be written respectively. This time timetable is normally used as a receipt and as an acceptance slipt in the time of writing of the examination, hence candidates are always requested to show his/her personal time each time before entering the examination hall. Students without the individual Cameroon GCE examination timetable 2020 shall not be allowed to enter the hall.

The Cameroon GCE 2020 General time table contains all the subjects showing all the writing date displayed throughout the writing period. It is usually issued at the time of launching of the exam.

GCE results 2020 is expected to be released between the 25th of September to 29th of September 2020.
