The documents needed for the 2023 declaration of tax are;

  • An annual payslip for 2023
  • An attestation of tax identification carrying an identification number.

The 2023 Anual Payslip

This a document that contains the summary of payments and tax deduction for the year 2023 from January to December. This document further summarise the following;

  • Total earning or gain for the 2023 financial year.
  • Total tax cut for the year 2023.
  • Balance earning for the year 2023.

The Tax payer Identification document.

This document is simply a proof of having registered as a tax payer. It carries a unique identification number particular to an individual.

How to carryout tax declaration in simple steps

The steps to perform tax declaration are as follows;

  • Download your tax payer identification document to obtain your NIU number.
  • Download your annual payslip summary for 2023.
  • Visit www.impots.cm
  • Click on Declaration IRPP.
  • Enter NIU number and the default password which is “0000”.
  • Enter a new password, confirm it and continue.
  • Click on DÉCLARATION PARTICULIERS
  • Complete the form by entering personal information and SAVE.
  • Click on teledeclaration.
  • Click on Dec Particuleur
  • In the first row, enter total gain in the first column and enter total retained in the second column.
  • Scroll to the bottom, select date, enter place, tick to certify and SAVE.
  • Submit and save.
  • Then download both the receipt and the attestation.
  • That is the end of the declaration process.
